Antistatic prepainted steel coil, adopts the multi-agent mixed coating with excellent anti-static performance and color retention for top coat. 2 coated 2 bake (2C2B) on double sides to production.
Top coat is high temperature drying coating, by the paint's own electrical conductivity can fully exert the characteristics of antistatic.
Recommended End Uses
Apply to antistatic insulators equipment, clean room space interval, clean equipment, window and cover equipment, microelectronics devices, semiconductor equipment, electrical products, precision instruments, biotechnology industry, etc
Should not be used in very harsh environment, Such as areas with heavily polluted serious industrial environment, marine erosion and direct sunlight or heat all the year round.
Based on different substrate, can be divided into PPGI-Antistatic and PPGL- Antistatic.
Inspection and testing shall be based on the provisions of the this brochure.
PPGI-Antistatic, hot dipped galvanized steel coil as substrate chemical composition mechanical properties tolerance coating mass ect requirement according to JISG3302. ASTM A653(M) EN10142. EN10147.
PPGL-Antistatic, hot dipped 55% Al Zinc steel coil as substrate chemical composition mechanical properties tolerance coating mass ect requirement according to JISG3321 ASTM A792(M) EN10215.
2 coated 2 bake (2C2B)
According to the different production line equipment, select the appropriate surface treatment agent, and coating surface forming a layer of extremely dense and superior corrosion resistance superficial skin film.
Use PU (polyurethane) with high corrosion resistance.
Nominal dry film thickness is 5um or decided by customers.
Using the multi-agent mixed coating with excellent anti-static performance
Nominal dry film thickness is 20um or decided by customers.
*Top Color & Gloss
Top color according the customer requirements. the top gloss is 25%, 35%, 65%, or 75% (60 degrees reflection angle, according to ASTM D523).
Use PU (polyurethane) with high corrosion resistance.
Nominal dry film thickness is 2-3um or decided by customers.
Use of epoxy resin coating with good corrosion resistance or polyester resin coating with good processability.
Nominal dry film thickness is 5-7um decided by customers.
Back color are crane white gray and grayish white or according customer requirement. the back gloss is 25% (60 degrees reflection angle. According to ASTM D523)
Based on customer requirements and the top surface can paste a strippable film to reduce the surface external damage caused by handling, storage or processing ect, when installation, processing, storage within a month, This strippable film should timely removal, to avoid warming climate increase viscous force, resulting in protective film stripping difficult.
1. Typical Properties
* Pencil Hardness: as per ASTM D3363

* Impact Test: as per ASTM D2794
Use 12.7mm diameter’s punch to do the reverse impact, and 500g weight to do a 50cm height of the impact, with 3M # 600 tape paste ,then180 degrees to rapid peel, he paint film adheres well ,without any peel off.
*Erichsen Test: as per ASTM E643
After 7 mm stroke forming at a speed of 12 +/- 6 mm / min, with 3M # 600 tape paste , then 180 degrees to rapid peel, the paint film adheres well ,without any peel off.
*Bending Test: as per ASTM D4145
The specimen was bent at a 180 degree angle so that the inner diameter of the curved arc was 3 times the plate thickness (3T),with 3M # 600 tape paste ,then180 degrees to rapid peel, the paint film adheres well ,without any peel off.
*Solvent Resistance: as per ASTM D5402
To dip M.E.K or toluene on gauze, applied 1 kg weight to the surface of the specimen to wipe back and forth more than 100 times, no see substrate.
2. Accelerated Corrosion And Weathering Test
*Salt Spray Test: as per ASTM B117
After the salt spray test 1000 hours, from the notch part of 5mm away from (Un-Scribed Area), not have the red rust, blistering (more 8F) and corrosion occurred.
Remark: Back surface test 150 hours.
* Weathering Test-QU: as per ASTM G53
After 1000 hours, no significant color change or chalking phenomenon.
* Chemical Resistance-spot Test : as per ASTM D1308
5% H2SO4 drop in the steel plate surface, was not bubbled after 24 hours;
5% NaOH drop in the steel plate surface, was not bubbled after 24 hours;
(25℃ or room temperature)
Handing And Forming
To avoid damage to the surface of the product, the product must be handled with care during handling, transportation, molding and installation. If improper molding lubricant is used, it will affect the product characteristics and cause surface contamination. It is recommended that you do not use it if it is not necessary.
*Keep the product dry.
*Store the product in a dry and well ventilated area preferably indoors, to avoid condensation and moisture penetration, store the products in a roofed storage area.（Because capillary action will drain the moisture into the surface of the steel coil, the moisture or water will not be able to evaporate normally, which can lead to deterioration of product characteristics, reduce service life, and influence of appearance).
*Do not put products where they could be exposed to sand or dust, if any sand or dust build up on a sheet, they can damage zinc or paints, Sand and dust also hander dry and thus promote white rust formation.
*Do not stack sheet or coil excessively high. This is important for safety as well as for the prevention of sheet deformation or other damage, Inventory terms should be as short as possible.
*Do not push the cut sheets or roll the coils with a forklift, since this could cause scratching.
*When transporting coils in a truck, care should be taken to protect the coil surfaces against damage, using, preferably, a rubber sheet beneath the coils or an exclusive transport stand.
*When transport coil, firmly fix the stacked sheets so that they do not slip off due to vibration.
